The action principle of toggle switch
In manual operation, the switch action can be divided into two stages. The first stage is to pull the lever in the middle with your hand until it is in a vertical position. After the handle is in the vertical position, the single knife slider moves quickly in the other direction under the action of the spring pressure, and drives the handle to turn quickly. At this time, the moving contact plate is quickly detached from the fixed contact foot on one side and quickly connected with the fixed contact foot on the other side. This is the second stage.
At this time, the separation speed of the contact is related to the size of the compression spring pressure and the friction between the moving parts, and the speed is very high. The time from contact disengagement to reconnection is only about milliseconds, with an average speed of millimeters of seconds. This speed is many times faster than manual or maneuvering speed.
